Douglas Young
Douglas Young is a Chartered Accountant who has worked in the insurance industry since 1982. He was educated at Hutchesons' Boys' Grammar School in Glasgow and at The University of Strathclyde, graduating in business administration. He has wide experience in the insurance sector having held senior financial and general management positions with major brokers such as Jardines, Nelson Hurst (now Lockton), and BMS.
Douglas has worked in retail, wholesale and reinsurance broking and has chaired a number of IFA businesses. He is a former Group Finance Director at Towergate having joined the business as Acquisitions Director in 2000. Prior to founding Hansen Young in 2004, he was Managing Director of Ensign Managing Agency which had two Syndicates at Lloyd's.
Douglas works closely with clients on all aspects of strategy, covering business development, acquisition appraisal, exit options, margin improvement and identification of business opportunities

Andrew Linnell
Andrew Linnell has held senior operational and strategic roles in a number of financial service businesses in the UK.
He has gained significant experience through the mergers of Commercial Union and General Accident, and CGU with Norwich Union, of planning and executing merger integration activities, whilst ensuring that a 'business as usual' focus is maintained in operational units through periods of major change and uncertainty
He subsequently played a key role in the start-up team for The Folgate Partnership prior to its merger with the Towergate Underwriting Group to form the Towergate Partnership.
His initial responsibilities included acquisition negotiations, valuation, Due Diligence, integration planning and execution, and insurer negotiations.
He subsequently continued with acquisition and merger responsibilities but with operational responsibility for budget delivery and income enhancement in specialist and non-specialist regional insurance brokers and underwriting agencies, during which time he played a lead role in the development of the Folgate 'Income Model'
In July 2007 he established Xceed Radix Ltd to provide specialist and unique consultancy services

Nigel Morris
Nigel Morris has had over 40 years experience in the insurance industry, having started with the London Assurance in Manchester in 1967. The vast majority of his career has been spent in the broker sector mostly at Managing Director level. He set up his own very successful business in the late 1970's before selling to a national broker, where he achieved rapid promotion. He was subsequently headhunted by Sedgwick UK where he went on to become a member of the UK Board. The business area for which he was responsible became the most successful Sedgwick business in Europe.
He was subsequently approached by Willis and appointed as their Commercial Operations Director for England & Wales.
He joined Towergate Underwriting Group, where he became Chairman of the Commercial Lines Division as well as being Managing Director of a number of its businesses, which he led to significantly improved profit and growth.
Nigel has a very strong sales background, having consistently been successful in winning new business, ranging from SME's right up to very large plc's and international organisations. He also has significant experience in the creation and development of effective corporate partnerships
Over his career, he has worked in most of the UK's major cities including the London market and has developed a very wide understanding of how effective broking businesses work and how to successfully address their challenges, opportunities and potential.
